At Summit Home Remodeling, our staff is comprised of real people helping with real people’s housing needs. We developed a tight-knit, family-feel culture. Our 'Employee Spotlights' shine light on the faces of those who exemplify the best qualities of Summit Home Remodeling.
Today our spotlight centers on Devin Hughes, our Marketing Representative!
Describe your journey into Summit Home Remodeling.
I was recruited by someone who’s worked here in the past. What sold me on getting this job was the cool and fun environment, plus there was some good money behind it. He knew me well for my experience in sales and marketing, and thus I found myself to be a great fit for the position. Looking back, I’m glad to have seized this opportunity!
What is your favorite part about working here?
I just like the flexibility with my workday and the environment is great too. When it comes to the lax and fun nature of this job, it certainly pays very well! We also have great parties and a Holiday party that makes it better. For the most part I feel the company treats its employees like family where everyone is included in its culture.
What do you like doing outside of work?
I’m a really sporty type of guy. I played travel softball years back, and even now I still try to keep active. I’m now a part of an adult kickball league which I love doing in my spare time. Other than that, if I’m not playing sports I’m hanging with my friends, watching Netflix, or playing video games!
Any plans for the future you’d want to mention?
I definitely wanna see Summit succeed. I also hope to get my own house so I can get into the home remodeling from the homeowner’s side. Now that I have a better understanding of how home remodeling works, I believe I can apply that to my own life when I become a homeowner myself. Other than that, I hope to get a dog soon. I can aspire for a ton of things while working with Summit. Looking forward to traveling to the beach soon!
Devin demonstrates how the people of Summit live comfortable, fun lives while maintaining their professionalism in the workplace. We’re glad to have him on board the Summit Express, too! Have a great Friday!
